A Resolution for 2015 // North Carolina Wedding Photographer
Personal , January 16, 2015
Rob and I have talked for some time about writing more personal posts for our website. It’s a challenge to us in the sense that we’re not really sure who might read these posts- our clients, other photographers? I guess the more likely answer is my grandma, who we lovingly refer to as our #1 fan because of her tendency to gush about every photo we post online somewhere.
So, we’ve set some goals for what we’d like for you to experience in our personal musings this year:
-We want to offer helpful advice to brides and grooms from a photographer’s point of view. We realize that there are many, many articles all over the web detailing the “must-have” shots, the advantages of having a first look, etc…. and frankly, we often disagree with what we read on wedding websites, especially in regards to what is important on a wedding day. So, we are throwing our proverbial hat into the ring in the hopes that our advice will relax the minds of brides and grooms who stress out about details and planning.
-We want to post about things going on in our personal lives. This was a hard topic to commit to initially, but we will be sharing a lot more about who we are throughout the year. Just a head’s up: most of these posts will probably contain photos and ramblings about our two beloved shepherd mixes, so be warned.
-We’d like to keep a better record of the experiences we have had in growing our business for the past 2.5 years. There are so many great stories to share: some funny, some joyful, and just a few that might make you wonder why we are still in the wedding business. ;)
If you made it this far into the post, thanks for reading. We hope you will share your thoughts with us as we open up to you. And if you have any topics that you might like for us to write about, feel free to email or comment with your suggestions!
